Attention:
When the vehicle is jacked up, do not do any work under the vehicle. This is very dangerous, because the jack may suddenly break.
Do not start the engine with the vehicle raised by a jack. The vehicle could move away and cause significant damage.
Note:
When using a jack, follow these guidelines.
Only use the jack from your own vehicle, do not use jacks from other vehicles.
Only use the jack when changing a wheel or installing chains on the wheels.
Stop on a level, paved road before using the jack.
Before using the jack, be sure to apply the parking brake and set the selector lever to position P.
Place wheel chocks.
Disembark passengers and unload luggage.
Removing the jack
Open the side compartment cover on the right side of the luggage compartment, take out the tool bag, release the jack and remove it.
Installing the jack in place is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the mount so that the jack does not wobble.
Installing the jack handle
Install the lever and handle on the jack.
Note: To prevent the handle from slipping when turning, hold the lever with your hand. Install the lever securely into the hole in the jack.
Raising a car with a jack
Stop the vehicle on a level, hard surface where work can be carried out safely, disembark passengers and unload luggage.
1. Stop the engine, apply the parking brake and move the selector lever to position P.
2. Support the wheel on the diagonally opposite side of the jack.
If the jack is placed next to the front wheel, then the stop is placed behind the rear wheel located on the opposite side, and if the jack is placed next to the rear wheel, then the stop is placed in front of the front wheel located on the opposite side.
3. Turn the jack by hand until the notch of the jack hits the mounting location on the car body.
Installation places for a jack
Note: Install the jack only in the marked places, otherwise the body may be deformed.
4. Rotate the jack with the handle to raise the vehicle until the wheel is slightly off the ground.
On some models, the installation locations differ from those indicated.
