Removing
Attention:
Clean the caliper and brake pads only with a vacuum cleaner. Do not blow with compressed air.
There is no need to remove the brake hose mounting bolt, except for disassembly and replacement of the caliper assembly or caliper bracket. Also, hang the cylinder body on a wire so as not to stretch the brake hose.
When replacing brake pads, always replace the gaskets and gasket covers as a set.
1. Remove one bolt from the lower guide pin.
2. Hang the cylinder body on the wire and remove the shoes, shoe holders and gaskets.
Attention:
When the cylinder body is open, do not press the brake pedal, otherwise the pistons will pop out.
If the gaskets show signs of rust, replace them with new ones.
Be careful not to damage the piston boots or allow brake fluid to get on the disc.
Installation
1. Apply Nissan Brake Grease (KRF1600005) on the inner gasket and the inner shoe cover and the outer gasket of the outer shoe and install them in place.
2. Apply Nissan Brake Grease (KRF1600005) on the contact surface of the shoe holder. Install the pad holders and pads to the caliper bracket.
3. Install the cylinder body on the caliper bracket, insert the guide pins and tighten to the required torque.
Attention: When replacing pads with new ones, keep an eye on the fluid level in the reservoir of the brake master cylinder, because due to the displacement of the piston back, the fluid returns to the reservoir.
4. Check if the brakes are sticking.
