Attention. Make sure that the resistance torque of the pinion shaft bearing is correct.
2. Install the ring gear shaft into the transfer case.
3. Install transition housing.
4. Rotate the flange at least 20 turns to check that the bearing rotates smoothly.
5. Using a special tool (A) (ST3127S000) measure the total moment of resistance to rotation.
Note.
Total moment of resistance to rotation:
With seals installed:
- Versions with mechanical and automatic transmissions: Р1+0.76~0.96 Nm.
- Versions with continuously variable transmission: P1+0.71~0.91 Nm.
- Without intermediate crankcase oil seal: Р1+0.55~0.75 Nm.
Attention.
- For smooth rotation of all moving parts, it is necessary that they be lubricated with gear oil.
- If any deviations from the norm are found, it is necessary to remove the gear shaft from the transfer case for inspection. Measure the total moment of resistance both with the intermediate housing oil seal removed and with it installed.
