Before dismantling or dismantling, it is necessary to check the correct installation of parts. If it is necessary to apply alignment marks, then make sure that they will not impair the functioning of the parts to which they will be applied.
Repairs should be carried out in a clean working area, preferably protected from dust.
Before dismantling, remove sand and dirt from the external surfaces of the unit with steam or colorless gasoline. This will prevent sand and dirt from entering the unit during disassembly or assembly.
Inspect disassembled parts for damage, deformation, or unusual wear. If necessary, replace them with new ones.
Gaskets and O-rings must be replaced each time the unit is dismantled.
The fundamental rule for tightening bolts and nuts is to tighten them in several approaches, diagonally from the inside to the periphery. If a tightening order is specified, then it must be strictly observed.
Thoroughly clean and rinse parts. Then dry them with compressed air.
Be careful not to damage the sliding and mating surfaces.
Before applying the sealant, remove the old sealant from the fit. Then completely add moisture, oil and foreign matter from the seating and working surfaces.
Always use thin paper to clean the inside of components.
To prevent contamination with paper fluff and threads, do not use cotton gloves and rags.
During assembly, check the recommended tightening torques and, if necessary, apply fresh gear oil, Vaseline or grease in accordance with the recommendations for the specific vehicle.
