Level check
The level check must be carried out on a variator warmed up to a temperature of 50-80°C.
The verification procedure is as follows:
1. Check for fluid leaks.
2. Warm up the engine, drive cars in the city. If the ambient temperature is 20°C, the drive will take about ten minutes to warm up the variator to 50-80°C.
3. Place the car on a level surface.
4. Securely apply the parking brake.
5. With the engine running at idle, pressing the brake pedal, move the silicone lever through all the positions of the transmission modes.
6. Remove the dipstick to check the level of the working fluid of the variator from the filling pipe by pressing the tabs on the variator probes to unlock it.
7. Wipe the CVT feeler gauge and reinsert all the way into the CVT, turning 180' from the original installation position.
Attention. Use only lint-free paper to wipe the variator probe. Do not use rags.
8. Set the selector lever to position «R» or «N» and make sure the fluid level is within the acceptable range.
Replacement
1. Remove the drain plug and drain the CVT fluid from the CVT oil pan.
2. Install the plug in the hole in the right place, tighten to 34.3 Nm.
Attention. Do not reuse drain plug gasket.
3. Fill in the working fluid through the filling pipe to the required level.
4. Warm up the engine, perform a trip in a car in the city. If the ambient temperature is 20°C, the trips will take about ten minutes to warm up the CVT to 50-80°C.
5. Check the level and condition of the working fluid vayatea.
6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 if the CVT fluid is contaminated.
Note. Install the variator probe into place in the filling pipe, turning it to its original position, and fix it securely.
Status check
Check the condition of the working fluid of the variator.
If the CVT fluid is very dark or has a burnt zip, check CVT function. After repairing the variator, flush the cooling system.
If the variator fluid contains wear particles (clutches, brakes, etc.), after repair, it is worth replacing the radiator, flushing the cooling system lines with a cleaning agent and blowing with compressed air.
Attention.
- Use only genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2. Do not mix different types of liquids.
- The use of any other fluids will adversely affect the performance of the variator and may cause ego failure, which is not covered by the warranty.
- When filling the working fluid of the variator, be careful not to burn yourself on the hot parts of the exhaust system.
- Shake the controller well with CVT fluid before refueling.
- After replacing the working fluid of the variator, it is necessary to delete data on contamination of the working fluid from the memory of the self-diagnosis module using the CONSULT-HI device.
