Gasoline Engine Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure

With CONSULT-III

1. Turn the lock to the position «ON».

2. Select «Relieve fuel pressure» («FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE») on the menu «Work support» («WORK SUPPORT») instrument CONSULT-III.

3. Start the engine.

4. After stopping the engine, make one or two more revolutions with the starter to completely relieve all fuel pressure.

5. Turn off the ignition.

Without CONSULT-III

1. Remove the fuel pump fuse located in the power distribution box (IPDM E/R).

2. Start the engine.

3. After stopping the engine, make one or two more revolutions with the starter to completely relieve all fuel pressure.

4. Turn off the ignition.

5. Reinstall the fuel pump fuse after servicing the fuel system.
