Perform the following procedures before removing fuel lines:
- Collect the drained fuel in an explosion-proof container and close it tightly with a lid. Store container in a safe place.
- Relieve residual pressure in the fuel line (see chapter «Engine management system»).
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Always replace O-rings and clamps with new ones.
- When installing fuel lines, do not bend or twist them.
- Do not overtighten the clamps so as not to damage the hoses.
- After connecting the quick connectors, check their reliability.
Check that the connector and plastic tubes do not touch adjacent parts.
After connecting the pipelines, check the tightness of the connectors:
- Pressurize the fuel lines by turning the ignition on but not starting the engine. Then check if fuel is leaking at the junctions of the pipes.
- Start the engine, increase the speed and check for leaks in the connectors.
To replace the filler cap, use only a genuine NISSAN cap. When installing any other cover, the alarm may turn on "MIL".
