- To prevent corrosion of the interior of the passenger compartment doors and tailgate, check regularly that the drain holes are not clogged with dirt. Drainage holes are located at the bottom of the doors.
- Check for deposits of wet sand, salt and dirt on the bottom of the vehicle. If such deposits are found, immediately flush the underbody of the vehicle with water.
Attention.
- It is forbidden to wash the interior of the car with a water jet from a hose. Use a vacuum cleaner or brush to clean the interior.
- Make sure that water or other liquids do not get on the electronic units and devices installed in the car.
Chemicals used in winter to deal with ice on roads are highly corrosive. These substances accelerate corrosion and failure of car parts and assemblies located under the bottom of the car. First of all, the parts of the exhaust system, fuel pipelines, hydraulic brake lines, cable drive of the parking brake are exposed to the impact. Floor panels and fenders also suffer. During the winter operation of the car, it is necessary to periodically flush the bottom of the body with water.
Note. When operating the vehicle in some regions, additional corrosion protection is required. Please contact your authorized Nissan dealer for this matter.
