- after rain to prevent the aggressive effects of acid precipitation;
- after driving on roads passing along the sea coast;
- when such contaminants as soot, bird droppings, sap secreted by tree leaves, metal particles, insects, salt compounds, anti-icing reagents get on the car;
- when deposits of dust or dirt appear on the painted surfaces.
1. Use a sponge dampened with plenty of water to wash the car.
2. Thoroughly wash the surface of the body and glass, using special car shampoos or universal neutral detergents as detergents. Use clean warm (not hot) water.
Attention.
- Do not use harsh laundry soap, strong detergents, gasoline or thinners to wash the vehicle.
- To avoid spots on the paintwork, do not wash the car in direct sunlight, or if the body is very hot.
- Do not wash the vehicle with hard-bristled cloths or rough materials such as wash gloves. To avoid scratches, care should be taken when removing a thick layer of hardened dirt from the surface of the body.
3. After washing, thoroughly rinse the vehicle with plenty of clean water.
4. Wipe dry the surface of the body with suede. This will help to avoid stains on the paintwork of the body. When washing the body, pay attention to the following.
- Internal flanges, joints and creases in doors, tailgate and bonnet are particularly susceptible to salt and chemicals used on roads. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean these places from various contaminants and deposits.
- Make sure that the drainage holes located at the bottom of the doors are not clogged with dirt.
- Soften the deposits of dirt and salt accumulated there with a jet of water directed at the bottom and into the wheel arches and then wash them off.
- When using high pressure washers, follow the manufacturer's instructions (especially regarding the observance of the required pressure and distance).
- If there is damage to the body (on the bumper, headlights), do not direct the high-pressure jet directly at such places. They must be carefully washed by hand.
- Do not allow water to enter the door locks.
