Attention.
- The vehicle must be parked on level ground with the parking brake fully applied. Additionally, place wheel chocks under the wheels so that the car cannot accidentally start off the cop. The manual transmission control lever must be in the neutral position. Vehicles with automatic transmission and continuously variable transmission: set the selector to «R» («Parking»).
- It is forbidden to carry out any work in the engine compartment while the engine is hot. Stop the engine and wait until it cools down.
- Before making any repairs or replacing parts, make sure the ignition switch has been set to «OFF» («Ignition off») or «LOCK» («blocking»). If you leave the ignition key in position «ON» («Ignition on») or «ACC» («Auxiliary consumers of electricity»), the electric fan may turn on unexpectedly even when the engine is not running and cause injury. To avoid injury when working on or near the engine, be sure to «opticaselny» battery cable.
- If any check must be carried out with the engine running, keep hands, clothing, hair or tools away from rotating and moving parts (fan blades, pulleys, belts).
- Before work, it is recommended to remove your tie, as well as rings, watches, chains and similar items.
- If you are forced to start the engine in an enclosed area such as a garage, adequate ventilation must be provided to remove exhaust gases from the area.
- It is forbidden to stay under the car if it is supported only by a jack. If it is necessary to grow under the vehicle, install additional supports designed for the appropriate load.
- Do not smoke or keep sources of fire and sparks close to fuel containers and batteries.
- Do not disconnect or connect battery wires or any other components with the ignition on.
- Never disconnect the electrical connectors of components related to the engine or transmission with the ignition on (position «ON» ignition switch).
- If the vehicle is equipped with a gasoline engine with a multiport fuel injection system (MFI), the fuel lines and fuel filter) must be serviced by an Authorized Nissan Dealer as these operations may be hazardous. The fuel system was under pressure even when the engine was not running.
- Be sure to wear protective goggles when working on your vehicle.
- Failure to follow the safety precautions described above could result in serious personal injury or vehicle damage.
- Violation of the usual rules for the disposal of engine oil and other operating fluids leads to environmental pollution. Always follow local regulations for the disposal of used fluids.
