1. Disconnect the battery terminal or wire to remove voltage between test points.
2. Connect two ohmmeter wires to the circuit points to be tested.
If there are diodes in the circuit under test, swap the ohmmeter wires and repeat the test.
When connecting the negative wire to the positive side of the diode, and the positive wire to the negative side, the circuit must be closed, if vice versa, it is open.
3. Use a high impedance volt/ohmmeter to test the circuit (not less than 10 kOhm/V).
