Close all openings to prevent moisture and foreign objects from getting inside.
When the compressor is removed, store it in the position in which it is installed on the vehicle.
When replacing or repairing the compressor, strictly follow the procedures outlined in section "Maintaining the right amount of oil in the compressor".
Keep friction surfaces between clutch and pulley clean. If surfaces are contaminated with oil, clean them with a clean, lightly dampened cloth with solvent.
After completing maintenance on the compressor, rotate the compressor shaft by hand for at least five turns in each direction. This will ensure that the oil is evenly distributed inside the compressor. After installing the compressor, start the engine and let it idle to let the compressor run for one hour.
After replacing the compressor magnetic clutch, apply voltage to the new clutch and check its operation.
