2. Disconnect the spring clips from the clutch release bearing on the inside of the clutch housing, see how they are installed.
3. Remove release bearing.
4. Rotate the release shaft until both locking pins are in the position shown in the illustration.
With a rod (1) knock out the pins (2), if the clutch release shaft is to be removed.
5. Knock out the pins with a suitable pin.
6. Take out a shaft of switching off and remove a plug with a returnable spring on the inside.
7. Check the release bearing for wear or damage by holding the outer race in your hand and rotating the inner race from side to side while pressing it down. Hard spots, noise, or excessive play require a new bearing.
8. Install the spring on the new bearing and lubricate the inner groove of the bearing. Also lubricate the contact points of the clutch release lever and bearing, as well as the clutch release shaft. Install the clutch release shaft and fork in reverse order. Attach the release shaft spring on the inside so that both ends of the spring are positioned as shown in the illustration above. Lubricate the sliding surface of the front cover, put on the release bearing, and secure both spring clips.
9. Reinstall the power package (Chapter Engine) or install the gearbox if it was removed separately.
