Lighting
Lamp (s) malfunctioning
Lamp defective (s). Check, replace defective lamp.
There is a break in the wiring, or the contact has disconnected. Check lamp supply circuit, make necessary repairs.
Faulty light switch. Check, replace if necessary.
The fuse is out of order, or its block is faulty.
Faulty lighting relay. Replace relay.
Note. Turn on the appropriate lighting fixtures and check their power supply circuit with a probe lamp (see accompanying illustrations). Start at the lamp base/holder contact and work your way back to the power source.
The brightness of the lamp / lamps is broken
The lamp/lamps are not properly grounded. Check the reliability of fastening and the condition of the ground terminals, both on the lamp body and on the wire. Make any necessary repairs.
Lamps installed with the wrong power/voltage rating. Check, replace if necessary.
Reflector dirty or damaged. Wipe the reflector or replace it.
Lamp defective. Test by substituting a known good one, replace if necessary.
The lens is dirty. Wipe or replace.
There is an increased resistive resistance in the circuit between the generator and the battery, or the terminal connections are faulty. Check and make any necessary repairs.
The quality of the electrical connections in the circuit between the battery and the engine or generator is broken. Check the condition of the battery ground wire and engine ground wire on the chassis.
Faulty voltage regulator. Replace the defective block.
Note. Most often, the decrease in the intensity of the glow of the lamps is associated with contamination or oxidation of the terminals of the ground wires. Strip all terminal connections, check the condition of the wiring.
Direction indicators
The indicator lamp does not function and the breaker does not click
The fuse has blown. Remove the cause of the overload and replace the fuse.
Breaker defective. Replace. The location of the breaker is shown in the accompanying illustration.
Faulty turn signal switch. Replace.
There is a wiring defect. Check and make any necessary repairs.
The indicator lamp does not function, but the clicks of the interrupter are clearly audible
The control lamp of the corresponding index burned out. Check, replace.
The control lamp wiring is faulty. Check and make any necessary repairs.
Note. When replacing lamps, make sure that their electrical parameters comply with the technical requirements (see tables of sizes and adjustments at the end of the guide).
The turn signal lamp lights up weakly and flashes at an increased frequency
Breaker defective. Check, replace the defective block.
The front or rear indicator lamp on the corresponding side of the vehicle is burned out. Check, replace defective lamp.
Note. When replacing the breaker, install only branded units.
Alarm not working
The breaker has failed. Check, replace the defective unit.
Alarm switch defective. Replace.
