Functional check
1. Depress the brake pedal and make sure the brake lights are on.
2. If stoplights do not work, disconnect from the gauge switch an electroconducting.
3. Install a jumper wire between the electrical connector terminals. If now the brake lights have turned on, you should adjust the sensor-switch, or replace it with a working one.
Removing
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the sensor-switch.
3. Loosen the locknut and remove the sensor-switch from the brake pedal bracket.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order.
1. Track the quality of the contacts and the reliability of the fastening of the electrical connector on the back of the switch.
2. Adjust the sensor-switch.
Adjustment
1. Adjust the free height of the brake pedal.
2. Loosen the switch and adjust its position. Try to achieve a gap of 0.3 ÷ 1.0 mm between the stop and the end face of the threaded part of the sensor-switch.
