Removing
Components of the door glass and its drive mechanism
1 - window glass; 2 - screw; 3 - fixed glass of the rear door; 4 - finishing pad; 5 - regulator; 6 - latch; 7 - slider; 8 - bolts; 9 - power window handle; 10 - rear guide chute
1. Remove interior handles, door trim panel and door plastic seal film.
2. Working through an opening in the panel of a door, give screws of fastening of a window glass to a window regulator slider. Carefully lower the glass until it stops at the bottom of the door frame.
3. Locate the tabs securing the inner rubber sealing strip to the top of the inner door panel belt rail. Grasp the sealing tape near the latches and push it outward, releasing the latches one by one. Continue working until the tape is completely released from the door belt rail. Take the tape aside.
4. Locate the latches securing the outer sealing tape to the top of the outer door panel along the bottom edge of the window opening. Raise the tape in the area of the location of the latches, removing the latter one by one until the tape is completely released from the door.
5. Pull back the section of rubber seal from the outside edge of the window frame just above the rear guide chute. Give the screw fastening the chute to the transom.
6. Give bolts of fastening of a back directing trench to an internal frame of a door.
7. Rotate the rear guide chute 90°and remove it from the door through the top.
8. With the help of an assistant, move the fixed glass forward along the transom. Make sure that pressure is evenly distributed across the top and bottom edges of the glass. Remove the fixed glass together with the seal from the transom.
9. Remove the lifting glass from the door. Lay it on a soft surface.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order.
1. Check the condition of the fixed glass seal. Replace if necessary.
2. Adjust the position of the rear guide chute, achieving smooth lowering and raising of the window glass.
3. Loosely fasten the lower edge of the window pane to the power window slide with screws, lift the pane firmly against the top rear corner of the opening and against the rear guide chute. After fixing the glass in this position, finally tighten the screws.
4. Before reinstalling the polymer sealing film and the door trim panel, check that the lock and power window mechanisms are functioning correctly.
