Hub and steering knuckle — removal and installation

1. Raise the front of the car and place it on stands.

2. Remove the wheel.

3. Remove the caliper (Ch. 10) and take it aside.

4. Remove the axle shaft.

5. Release a nut of a tip of steering draft and press out a spherical finger of a tip from an eye of a rotary fist.

6. Remove the fist assembly with supports. To do this, lift the lower arm with a jack. Loosen the bolts securing the supports to the levers (photo).





7. Remove your fist. If necessary, loosen the nuts with a puller and press the supports out of the knuckle. Leave the nuts screwed on the support pins.

8. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order. Adjust axle play (see above).
