Automatic transmission rear oil seal — replacement

1. Remove the half shaft (Ch. 8). On all-wheel drive vehicles, remove the transfer case (Ch. 9).

2. Carefully pry with a screwdriver and remove the oil seal (photo).



3. Lubricate the outer and working edges of the new oil seal and press in with a mandrel of a suitable diameter (photo).



4. Further operations are carried out in reverse order.
