1. Drain the oil.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle and place on stands.
3. Remove engine mudguards.
4. On vehicles with a 4x9 formula, remove the subframe.
5. On vehicles with a 4x4 formula, remove the front gearbox, hang the engine, loosening the supports. Fix the supports with wooden blocks.
6. Turn away bolts and remove the oil pallet. When removing, do not damage the split planes of the cylinder block and sump.
7. Thoroughly clean the split planes of the cylinder block and sump from seal residues. Wash the surfaces to be sealed with lacquer thinner or acetone. Make sure the threaded holes in the cylinder block are clean.
8. Check up presence on a demountable plane of the pallet of deformations, especially about apertures under bolts. If necessary, straighten the detachable plane with a hammer, laying it on a wooden board.
9. Apply a thin layer of RTV Sealant to the pan flat and install the gasket.
10. Install the pallet and tighten the bolts evenly in a cross pattern with the specified torque. After 30 minutes (after the sealant has set) fill with oil, start the engine and check for leaks.
