Changing the oil in a manual transmission

1. Take a trip of several kilometers.

2. Raise the front of the vehicle and place on stands.

3. Remove the drain plug (photo).

4. Drain the oil into the sump, taking care not to burn yourself.

5. Thoroughly clean the drain and control plugs, removing all metal particles from the magnetic inserts. The presence of particles indicates wear on the gearbox parts and the need for disassembly in the near future.
