2. It is advisable to combine filter replacement with oil change.
3. Before starting work, prepare all the necessary tools and materials.
4. Install the car on a pit or overpass.
5. Wipe the sump drain plug.
6. Warm up the engine.
7. Oil change on a fully warmed up engine.
8. Place a pallet under the drain plug and release the plug.
9. Remove the plug, turn the plug slowly for the last few turns (photo).
10. Drain the oil into the sump underneath.
11. After draining the oil, wipe the plug with a clean rag (photo).
12. Wipe the pan near the drain hole and wrap the plug. Tighten the plug firmly to the specified torque.
13. Rearrange the pallet under the oil filter.

14. Using a special key, release the oil filter (photo). Oil filter on a V6 engine (left) and 4-cylinder (on right) let go.
15. Unscrew the filter by hand.
16. Make sure that the type and dimensions of the new filter fully match the type and dimensions of the used one.
17. Wipe the place where the filter fits on the cylinder block with a clean rag. Remove the gasket.
18. Lightly coat the rubber gasket of the new filter with engine oil (photo). Lubricate the filter gasket with fresh engine oil before screwing on the filter.
19. Screw on the filter and hand-tighten the filter.
20. Remove tool and lower vehicle.
21. Fill in the correct grade of oil through the oil filler plug on the cylinder head cover.
22. First, fill in approximately 0.8 liters of oil, then wait a few minutes for all the oil to glass into the sump and check the oil level with a dipstick.
23. Continue to add oil in small portions until you reach the mark "L". Start the engine so that the oil fills all lubrication channels.
24. Stop the engine and immediately check for oil leaks, tighten the plug or filter if necessary.
25. Check the level and add oil if necessary.
26. During several trips after an oil change, be especially careful to watch for leaks and check the oil level.
