Exhaust system check

1. Checking is carried out on a cold engine (at least three hours after stopping). Check the condition of all parts of the exhaust system, from the engine to the end section of the muffler.

2. Check pipes and connections for corrosion, mechanical damage, leakage

exhaust gases. Make sure that the system parts are securely fastened and that the brackets are in good condition.

3. At the same time, inspect the condition of the bottom of the car, check for corrosion, through holes, open seams through which exhaust gases can enter the car interior. Seal all through holes in the bottom of the body with silicone putty.

4 Knocking and other noises can often be caused by parts of the exhaust system, especially at their attachment points. Shake pipes, mufflers, neutralizer.

If these parts come into contact with the suspension parts, then replace the fasteners.
