1. The power steering fluid level must be checked and replenished periodically.
2. The supply tank is mounted on the power steering pump and is located in the front of the engine compartment. On V6 engines, the reservoir is located behind the battery.
3. When checking the level, the wheels must be in the driving position in a straight line, the engine must be stopped. The fluid in the hydraulic booster and the engine must be cold.
4. Wipe the tank.
5. Remove the tank cap with a built-in dipstick (photo).
6. Wipe the dipstick. and put it back in the tank. Remove the dipstick and check the fluid level, which should be between the marks on the dipstick.
7. If necessary, add fluid to the normal level
8. If frequent topping up of fluid is required, then there is a leak in the hydraulic actuator and the condition of all tubes and connections should be checked.
