Attention! It is necessary to remove air from the hydraulic drive of the steering wheel during any disassembly of the line, regardless of the measures that have been taken to prevent air from entering.
1. Check the fluid level, if necessary, restore by adding to the mark on the tank dipstick. Warm up the hydraulic fluid, for which, at idle speed of the engine, turn the steering wheel in both directions for 2 minutes.
2. Raise the front of the car so that the wheels are just lightly touching the floor.
3. Turn the steering wheel from side to side until it stops at least 10 times, while not allowing a strong impact on the stops, hold the steering wheel at the end of each turn.
4. Check fluid level.
5. Start the engine, and after a few minutes of idling, stop. Check fluid level.
6. Run the engine for a few seconds, stop and check the fluid level. Turn the wheels in both directions until they stop at least 10 times, check the fluid level again.
7. If after these procedures foam is observed in the tank, and the operation of the pump is accompanied by increased noise, then the air from the hydraulic drive has not been removed. In this case, wait until the foam disappears, check the liquid level and repeat the procedure.
8. If after several pumping cycles the air is not removed, then there is a leak in the system. Ask an assistant to turn the steering wheel all the way to the stop several times and keep it fully turned out (no more than 15 sec). While turning the wheels, inspect the hoses and tubes and check for leaks. If there is no leak, then the hydraulic booster is faulty and the car should be checked at a car service.
