Attention! 1996 vehicles are equipped with an airbag located in a container in the center of the steering wheel. When performing work near the inertial sensors, steering column, instrument panel, disconnect the wires from the battery and wait at least 10 minutes.
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Remove or disable the air bag container (if provided), by contacting a car service.
3. On vehicles prior to 1994, remove the 2 screws from the back of the steering wheel (photo), on cars from 1994 release, remove the sound signal panel, for which unscrew the screws at the bottom of the spokes with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the clamp.

4. Make sure the handlebar is unlocked and remove the handlebar nut.
5. Mark the position of the steering wheel relative to the shaft (photo).

6. Press out the steering wheel by screwing the puller bolts into the special holes provided in the wheel hub on both sides of the shaft (photo). It is forbidden to remove the steering wheel by hitting the hub.
7. Before installation, lubricate the back of the rubbing part of the steering wheel (photo).
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Align the marked marks, tighten the nut to the specified torque and check the freedom of rotation of the wheel.
