1. Proper adjustment of the hood is necessary in order to prevent odors from a running engine from entering the passenger compartment through the air intake grille. Adjustment of the hood in the horizontal plane is provided by moving the hinge bolts in the grooves. In the vertical direction, the hood is adjusted by rotating the rubber buffers in the radiator bracket and using a bolt type "dovetail", which is part of the hood lock.
2. To adjust, outline the loop that will change position.
3. Turn away bolts and carefully shift a cowl to the necessary position. Tighten the bolts, lower the hood and check its position.
4. Loosen the bolt locknut "dovetail" on the lock and check the adjustment of the hood at the front. Tighten the locknut after adjustment.
5. If necessary, you can adjust the position of the latch relative to the hood lock. To do this, outline the contours of the lock screws, loosen the screws and set the latch to the desired position. Tighten the screws.
6. Adjust the hood by turning the rubber buffers so that the surface of the hood is flush with the fenders.
7. Lubricate the lock and hinges.
