Overdrive switch
Check the resistance between the connector pins. In the ON position, the circuit must be open; in the OFF position, the circuit must be closed.
Interlock switch
Check the resistance in the N, P and R positions. The circuit should be open in the P and N positions and closed in the R position. In position N, turn the control lever to each side. The current should begin to flow at approximately equal angles of rotation, which are normally about 1.5°. If there are any deviations, adjust the switch as described in the appropriate section of this chapter.
Torque Converter Clutch and Overdrive Shift Solenoid Valves
Check the resistance between the connector pins. It should be about 25 ohms as for the overdrive release solenoid (contacts 2-3), and for the electromagnet of the torque converter clutch (contacts 1-3).
