Disassembly and assembly
Dismantling the oil pump does not have any features. When assembling, please note the following:
- The seal, gasket and O-ring must be replaced with new ones.
- When installing the pump, lubricate its gears with engine oil.
- Make sure the O-ring is installed correctly.
Check - GA motors
Oil pump housing and gears. Use a feeler gauge to check the following clearances:
- Housing - driven gear (1) - 0.110-0.200 mm
- Drive gear - crescent (2) - 0.217-0.327 mm
- Driven gear - crescent (3) - 0.21-0.32 mm
- Housing - drive gear (4) - 0.05-0.09 mm
- Housing - driven gear (5) - 0.05-0.11 mm
- Drive gear - front crankcase bore (6) - 0.045-0.091 mm
If the gap (2) not within the specified limits, replace the gears. If the clearances are exceeded (1), (3) — (6), replace the front crankcase.
pressure reducing valve. Visually inspect all parts for wear and damage. Pay attention to the sliding surface of the valve and the condition of the spring.
Apply engine oil to the valve and insert it into the hole (without spring). The valve must move freely under its own weight.
If damaged, replace pressure relief valve assembly or oil pump.
Check - SR engine
Oil pump housing and gear. Use a feeler gauge to check the following clearances:
- Housing - driven gear (1) - 0.12-0.20 mm
- driven gear - drive gear (2) — no more than 0.18 mm
- Housing - drive gear (3) - 0.05-0.09 mm
- Housing - driven gear (4) - 0.05-0.11 mm
- Drive gear - front crankcase bore (5) - 0.045-0.091 mm
If the gap (2) is not within the specified limits, replace the gears. If clearances are exceeded (1), (3) - (5), replace the front crankcase.
pressure reducing valve.
Check clearance between valve and oil pump cover.
- Gap (6) - 0.040-0.097 mm
If the clearance is too large, replace the oil pump cover.
Checking - CD Engines
Oil pump housing and gears. Use a feeler gauge to check the following clearances:
- Housing - driven gear (1) - 0.12-0.20 mm
- CD20E engine - 0.114-0.200mm
- driven gear - drive gear (2) — no more than 0.18 mm
- Housing - drive gear (3) - 0.05-0.09 mm
- Housing - driven gear (4) - 0.05-0.11 mm
- Drive Gear - Housing Bore (5) - 0.05-0.09 mm
- CD20E engine - 0.045-0.091 mm
If clearances are greater than specified, replace gears or pump assembly.

Apply engine oil to the valve and insert it into the hole (without spring). The valve must move freely under its own weight.
