Replacement of a back epiploon of a cranked shaft

1. Remove the gearbox (see relevant chapter).

2. Remove flywheel or drive plate.

3. Remove the rear oil seal holder and remove any old sealant (in SR and CD engines, it is not necessary to remove the holder).

4. Remove the gland from the holder using a screwdriver, wrapping its blade with electrical tape. Be careful not to scratch the holder and crankshaft flange.

5. Lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil and press it in in the same position as the front (see previous section).
