Headlights
The headlight is an optical focusing element based on a replaceable halogen lamp. The headlight housing is sealed. The bulb is replaced from inside the engine compartment, allowing this to be done without removing the outer headlamp structure.
ATTENTION! A halogen lamp contains gas under high pressure. The lamp may explode if the glass bulb is scratched or subjected to slight mechanical impact. When working with a lamp, do not touch the glass bulb.
Lamp replacement
1. Open the engine hood.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery post.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the lamp base.
4. Turn the safety bulb counterclockwise and pull it out.
5. Pull off the rubber ring.
6. Press and turn the locking collar.
7. Pull out the lamp. Do not shake or drop it.
8. Install the new bulb in reverse order.
ATTENTION!
- The rubber ring should fit snugly on the headlight housing.
- The new lamp must have the same number and wattage as the one originally installed.
- Power is 60/56.
- After replacing the bulb, it is not necessary to adjust the headlight. If adjustment is still required, contact your Nissan dealer for this.
- Do not remove the lamp from the reflector for a long time. Dust, moisture and soot can get inside the headlight, which will affect the quality of the headlight.
