Fastening belts
1. Adjust the seat.
CAREFULLY! The seatback should not be tilted more than is necessary for passenger comfort. The seat belts work most effectively when the occupant's back is straight and snug against the seatback. To reduce the risk of slipping under the lap belt in the event of an accident and resulting injury, the seatback should not be tilted too far.
2. Slowly pull the strap out of the retractable spool and insert the tongue into the buckle until it clicks into place.
The inertial coil blocks the movement of the belt during heavy braking or in a frontal collision. At the same time, the reel allows the belt to be pulled out freely if this action is performed without jerks, thus ensuring freedom of movement for the passenger.
3. Place the lap part of the belt on your hips as shown.
4. Pull the shoulder strap towards the spool to remove any slack.
CAREFULLY!
- The shoulder strap should go over the shoulder, never over the neck.
- Make sure the belt is not twisted.
