Anti-theft system NATS

NATS system (Nissan Anti-Theft System) belongs to the category of immobilizers. The engine can only be started with the key registered in the system.

To initialize the system, register keys and diagnose faults, you need the CONSULT branded diagnostic tool with the appropriate memory card. There are no alternative ways to perform these operations.

System Composition

The NATS system includes the following components:

• NATS ignition key
• Antenna amplifier located on the ignition lock cylinder
• NATS control unit
• The engine control unit
• System operation indicator located on the center console
• Malfunction indicator (MIL)
