Fuel and coolant temperature gauges. Turn on the ignition, then connect contacts B and C to ground for no longer than 10 seconds. The arrows of the pointers should smoothly deviate to the full scale.
Tachometer. Check signal input from ECM (pins 17 and 18). As the engine speed increases, the voltage should also increase.
Speed sensor. Remove the speed sensor from the transmission and measure the voltage at its terminals by rapidly rotating the gear. The AC voltage should be about 0.5 V. The sensor resistance should be about 250 ohms.
Fuel level sensor. The removal of the sensor is described in chapter «Supply system». Check the resistance between terminals G and E at the three float positions.
- Full (36 mm) - about 4-6 ohms
- 1/2 (86 mm) — 27-35 Ohm
- Empty (131 mm) — 78-85 Ohm
Coolant Temperature Gauge Sensor. Check the resistance between the sensor output and ground.
