WARNING: The coiled airbag cable allows limited rotation. Set the wheels straight ahead and do not turn the steering wheel after removing the steering gear.
Use the HT72520000 puller to press the ball pins of the tie rod ends out of the pivot arms.
When disconnecting the lower hinge of the steering) shaft, first unscrew the nuts securing the cover of the hole in the shield often, and then disconnect the hinge by sliding the cover.
When connecting the high and low pressure pipes, adhere strictly to the specified tightening torques. Overtightening may damage the threads of the connector or the O-ring.
- Low pressure pipeline (1) - 27-39 Nm
- High pressure pipeline (2) — 15-25 Nm
The o-rings in the low pressure connector have a larger diameter than in the high pressure connector.
Attaching the tie rod ends to the swing arms is the same as for the steering mechanism without power (see related section). Before disconnecting the lower joint from the steering mechanism, set the wheels to the position corresponding to the movement in a straight line. After removing the pivot, make marks on the pinion shaft and crankcase to lock the neutral position.
When installing the steering mechanism, the right and left protective covers must be stretched equally. When connecting the lower hinge to the gear, align the marks made earlier.
Tighten the steering box mounting bolts in the order shown.
