Fan switch
Check for continuity between the switch connector pins in each position.
Fan resistor
Check the resistance between the connector pins.
Air conditioner switch
In the ON position, the contacts must be closed.
Recirculation switch
In the ON position, contacts 1-3 and 4 3 must be closed, in the OFF position they must be open.
Thermal fuse
The compressor should automatically turn off when its temperature rises to 145-155°C and turn on again when the temperature drops to 130-140°C.
Thermostat
Start the engine and turn on the air conditioner. Connect a voltmeter from the side of the connector and measure the voltage at the thermostat output.
When the temperature at the evaporator outlet drops to 2.5-3.5°C, the thermostat must turn off (voltage about 12 V), and when it rises to 4.0-5.0°C, turn on again (voltage around 0 V).
Relay for turning on the air conditioner
Relay contacts (findings 3 and 5) should close when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2.
High and low pressure sensor
The sensor contacts should close when the pressure increases to 157-216 kPa (1.6-2.2 kgf/cm2) in the low pressure circuit and when the pressure drops to 1863-2256 kPa (19-23 kgf/cm2) in the high pressure circuit.
